"I wish to do record breaking rangoli and I know it is not easy as it involves lots of physical stamina and mental toughness and regular long hours of practice but I think I will do it in near future."

Janak- studied textile engineering. Worked at various capacities in different companies. His best years were devoted in voluntary service at Vipassana Meditation Centre. Met Shefali at the age of 39 and got married at the age of 40. Janak knew Shefali's potential as an artist and decided to leave his well paid job and joined ShefJan Designs. At the invitation of his British friend Mark & Su, visited U.K. to market his wife's paintings, hand made cards and her various art work. Initial results were encouraging. While in UK (in 2002) he made few more good friends in Haworth. Friends at Haworth especially Rita & Anna of Sonia's Smile promised to organize Shefali's painting exhibition in future and they did it the following year ie. 2003. The exhibition at Old School room where Bronte's sister used to  teach, was a grand success for Shefali.  In meantime Janak learnt Rangoli, Galss painting and henna painting. He supported Shefali by managing ShefJan Designs and Shefali concentrated on creative side of ShefJan Designs. He did glass painting commisions, rangoli commissions and also started teaching this art.  He and his wife were invited by British Museum Friends to do Rangoli and henna painting during the Big Egyptian Bash - charity event for raising fund for restoration of Egyptian Art in March 2004. He does rangoli commissions for marriages, birthday parties, fund raising occassions, religious ceremonies, openings of new business and functions where special dignataries are invited. Apart from all this he has done rangoli at some importatn palces like: British Museum, London, Bronte's Society, Haworth, Bronte's School, Haworth, UK, St Michael Church, Haworth, UK, Royal Armouries, Leeds, UK, Old Age Home Keighley, UK, KAF, Keighley College, UK, Chandan Multiples, Vadodara.

Janak says "I wish to do record breaking rangoli and I know it is not easy as it involves lots of physical stamina and mental toughness and regular long hours of practice but I think I will do it in near future." If any one wants to assist him in this feat he is ready to train and share the honours.
